Terrific spot and great price. Close dinghy dock and easy access to town. Harbormaster has code to access new trailer toilets and showers. Let them know you've picked up a ball as soon as you arrive. Smallish mooring field that fills up fast.

A lot of boats use the anchorage (instead of the channel) to get in and out so can be moving in and out beside you all day. We were here a few nights and, after two days, had a warning notice stuck to the boat by the harbor master. Apparently we were too close to the USNA, which seemed odd as others were closer and we'd been there a couple days already. Regardless, we moved and picked up a mooring ball right nearby. Call the harbor master for the code to the new trailer toilets and showers. There are also laundry machines newly installed but not operational yet. Easy dinghy dock. Great place!

Anchorage Review for Delaware Bay General Anchorage #4

Here at the start of summer and there were no other sailboats in any of the three anchorage options. I guess it wasn't a surprise given how industrial the whole waterway is. Hate to say it, but I'd avoid the Delaware bay/river if I can in future.

Anchorage Review for Atlantic City

But it was fine - room to maneuver was better than I was expecting and a good hold. There were four or so boats anchored and that felt like plenty. Boats were staggered in their anchor drop which seemed necessary as we all sung around over night. The noise from casinos was loud and clear. That didn't stop me from a good night's sleep!

On paper and reading reviews, I wasn't sure. We went past and rounded green #7 and dropped anchor in line with other sailboats. Really tested the anchor hold and it held all night. In the end, about 10 sailboats anchored all in a line paralleling the channel. The boat traffic right in front of our anchor spot was nuts! So many boats and a lot of noise but no problem. Kind of like a parade. Good anchorage spot.
