As previously noted, best access would be during slack tide. We stayed for two nights. With the location being so close to downtown Portsmouth there is so much to see (Strawberry Banke, Prescott Park gardens and events, shopping and dining. Turbulence of the Piscataqua River was nowhere near as bad as we expected, except with the wakes from the boaters during the day. Dave was very helpful with guiding us in and handling the lines, and was a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area. Would definitely stop there again.

One long dock in the middle of downtown Portsmouth, just upriver from the first lift bridge. Wicked current on the River. Highly suggest waiting for slack tide coming and going. Great dockmaster. Very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help with anything. Lots of great restaurants nearby. No parking for the marina. Public parking up the street.
