Well, we planned to stay here but you are required to fill out a document they call a marina permit. In that document it states specifically "Overnight sleeping aboard a vessel is not permitted at the Marina.". So I called them and asked about it. They confirmed that if you rent a slip you must either rent a room in the hotel or stay somewhere else. You cannot stay abound the boat. I have never heard something so ridiculous. Needless to say we did not stay there. We went over to the Lake Charles Bord Du Lac marina which is very nice. No real amenities other than power and water. But close to a lot of restaurants, a very nice park, lots of place to walk, etc. Nice floating docs as well. And only $20 per night with utilities.
