We spent a few weeks last July here and again this year. Staff is great. Edy the harbor master and John are super friendly. No Diesel, but you have pump out and gas. Diesel is available in Marquette or Grand Marais. If possible ask for an inside slip if a north wind is in the forecast. It is not bad but the east side can get a little bumpy as the swells reach around the break wall. Monday is farmers market in the park at the marina and Tuesday evening is music in the park with different bands every week all summer long. 30/50 amp and water at each slip (floating).
Munising is one of the best marina towns as you have all services available. Two hardware stores within a block. Two auto parts stores within a couple blocks, bank, and multitude of restaurant choices, from 5 staring-Traceys with daily and weekly menu changes, to fresh fish trucks, and bistros, to basics. Two Micro Breweries, and two classic taverns. Pasty's and of course, the Dog Patch. The town grocery is a half mile walk but has everything you need.
Grand Island protects the bay and offers as much beauty as Pictured rocks. If you want to spend a few nights at anchor, Murray Bay or Trout Bay off great protection pending wind forecast.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

We spent last weekend here. DNR website showed no availability and I did not expect any with 4 days notice but I called and the harbor master got me into the "well" next to the office and facilities. While it may not show it we had 20/30/50 amp available. Water is a bit of a reach as you have to get to the building so you may have to fill water at the fuel dock. Great facility, and service by staff. You are in the heart of the downtown area with lots of food and shopping. Groceries may be a stretch but there are options for transportation if needed. What used to be the dumpy marina when I was a kid is now the premier marina.

Great marina, not sure why I don't see much transient activity. 2.00 per foot. We stayed for a week twice mid March and late march-April 2025. Mick is a great harbor master. Right in the heart of sponge dock activity. Walmart, Publix and West Marine are about 1.5 miles away. Free trolly service and trolly service all the way to Clearwater too.
Floating docks but short with with pilings for bow tie. All are stern tie. New docks. 50 and 30 amp and great water pressure. bathroom showers are single for male, single for female but you have keyed access to the general restrooms too. Clean, and new.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
