The previous comments about pricing and location are very accurate. One thing that is not mentioned and makes this a MUST STOP for any Beer (Biere) enthusiast is the Bedondaine & Bedons Ronds (www.bedondaine.com/en/home) brewery/beer house on the other side of the grocery store parking lot. DON'T MISS IT!

Free with a mooring pass which you pay for :). Very nice town. Grocery is an easy walk as are the fort and marina. We stayed above the locks, so we had power (2 x 30 amp @ $10.75/each). Town is nice. Lock attendants are friendly and helpful. In the morning, we locked through the three locks with another 40' boat, which was tight but went without an issue. Another nice stop on the Canada Parks Lock system.

Very nice stop in a great town. The wall is on the west side of the canal, not the east as stated in the previous review. Check in with the lock staff to pay for electric ($10) or dockage, if you don't have a park pass, and get the bathroom code for after hours use. They will probably come to you..There is a small lock museum at the flight and Fort Chambly is an excellent place to visit. There is also a large grocery store (Maxi) about 100 yards from the wall.

This is a "free" dock (wall) if you have a Parks Canada moorage permit. The dock is on the east wall. There is room for six 40' boats. The part of the wall farthest from the lock is closed and no docking is allowed. There are five power pedestals - each having two 30A outlets. There are no 50A outlets. We used two 30A outlets (you pay per outlet). There are two ice-cream shops within one block of the dock. There are two good grocery stores with three blocks of the dock. There are many restaurants within three or four blocks. Fort Chambly is a short walk - and well worth seeing. There is also a free dock (without power) on the lower side of the lock. This is a great stop!
