This is an excellent stop and a tranquil off the path stop. Navigation is very doable if you follow marina owner Kevin's private markers and instructions. The most reliable chart is Navionics fishing or sonar chart, but the local instructions are most accurate. Here they are: Use the North Newport River. There are private markers on the shore numbered 1-7 that are white with black numbers. The markers can be easily found with binoculars. From ICW G125 head 300 deg toward marker 1 that is on the north side of the North Newport River bank. At marker 1 stay close to the river bank until abeam marker 2. Move across the river to marker 3. Stay close to the south river bank until abeam marker 4, then move across the river to marker 5 on the north river bank. Stay close to the north river bank until marker 6, then turn left toward marker 7. Abeam marker 7 stay to the east of the bend and proceed to the marina. You'll be in sight of the marina and Kevin will hail you on channel 68. We did this a MLW with a 4.5' draft and never had an uncomfortable moment. Once at the marina you will find an amazing 50' of water at the dock and a delightful place to quietly enjoy the sunset.

Lovely place w a very cool, old school bar. The phone number listed here in Waterway Guide is incorrect, that number was not answered today after trying many times. The Green Turtle Club web site lists 443.912.5839 which does work.

Its not so helpful to note shoaling without noting the deep water route, if any.

Marina Review for Cozy Cove Marina

This is a delightful little spot. It is "cozy" and was snug to enter, but because it is so protected there was no wind or current and maneuvering was easy if you go slow. Owner/operator Linda is super nice, helpful and welcoming. The ambience is old school Jersey shore, lovely little spot.
