We give this 5 stars for great dock service and great location! Christopher Fisher (aka Ryan) the Assistant Dockmaster went out of his way to make sure we were in a secured spot for the Nor'easter that was coming. He also facilitated us getting the most of our stay - telling us upcoming events, the name of a mechanic etc. This location is not for easy provisioning or laundry - it is GREAT for enjoying the beauty of Virginia and history! We had family visiting us here from Phoenix - and the beach was ideal for our 4 and 6 year old grandchildren. Saturday farmer's market and festivals on the grassy area just off the dock! Great restaurants too within walking distance! Free trolly! Just perfect for us!

Good safe stop. On a wall, which is just fine for our catamaran. Depth at wall reads 10 feet, which also works for deeper drafts. We were going to anchor in the bay, however, depth was around 30 feet, so need lots of scope. Dock Master extremely helpful and friendly. Basic amenities available.

We were on the long wall since we are a power cat with a 21.5 beam. The wall gets a lot of wave and wind action, but we were thankful for the spot with 30 kts wind. The dock master Jon was very considerate checking on us a couple of times during our stay and helped us with recommendations.
