This is probably the 4th winter when we've spent weeks or months at the Beaufort Town docks. With the management change things are in flux and it is still a bit of a construction zone with parking lots dug up and docks powerwashed (probably not a good idea !).

We really missed dealing with Mike since we appreciate his sense of edgy humor and miss him as a real friend.

Jacob made us feel at home as soon as we got there and we appreciated the monthly rate Lori gave us after Tony Frost at Homer Smith quoted us $3000 per month in the off season.!

The new loaner car arrangement seems like a winner. Sorry Bob, we ended up not filling up as we never took the third trip we expected to take.

In addition to Jacob we really want to thank Bob and Sara. They did a great job working without an office as the office was being rebuilt.

Nice marina as long as there isn't an easterly blow. In a bad blow it is not the place to be.

The current $4/ft-night is not warranted.

A great and safe mooring with a friendly and competent staff. Shoreboat (Oldport ?) was also great @ $4pp, each way.

The marina is where it is marked on the Navionics charts, just north of the Troy-Green bridge. The docks are in super shape and so are the pedestals. The staff is great too, informative and helpful.

According to https://www.canals.ny.gov/boating/bridgeheights.html this bridge has a vertical clearance of 24.19', not 20'.

Came in here to rest after (Windy-reported) 32 knot gusts in and around lock #8. For us the place was perfect and we stayed an extra day to rest up and tend to our now-longer arms. Cathy was really helpful all along.

This would be a great stop if it wasn't for a train every 60-90 minutes with each train blowing its horn as it passes. Did not get too much sleep and wish we'd stopped at the Fonda terminal instead (train horns might be an issue there too ?)..

Getting information was like pulling teeth. We'd email and get answers back several days later, usually not answering our questions. After 3-4 tries we decided to get our mast lowering done in Sodus Bay and not stay on Oswego Marina at all.

One great deal with very friendly staff !

They lowered our mast for the Eastern Erie canal with no prior appointment and no fuss ... just expertly done by Hal and John for 0.164 BOAT !

Might be bumpy in a SE wind event but otherwise a hidden jewel.
