Reviews Summary
The reviews highlight a generally positive experience for boaters anchoring in a scenic and quiet area off the ICW. Key points include:
- Ease of Access: Many reviewers noted that anchoring was straightforward, with easy entry and exit.
- Good Holding: The anchors held well in various depths (ranging from 10 to 20 feet), with several mentions of firm, sticky mud that allowed for secure anchoring.
- Scenic and Peaceful: Reviewers appreciated the tranquil environment, with wildlife sightings such as dolphins enhancing the experience.
- Room for Multiple Boats: There was ample space for several boats to anchor without crowding.
- Mixed Conditions: Some reviews mentioned challenges like wind gusts and crab traps, but overall, the conditions were manageable.
- Not Ideal for Long Stays: While great for overnight stops, some reviewers suggested it may not be the best location for extended stays or storm shelter due to its exposure.

Plenty of room to swing around and anchor came up pretty clean. What more could you ask? Dolphins and wildlife and just peaceful. Not a great place to spend multiple days or hide from a storm, but great for an overnight.

Depths 10-15 ft at low tide with a 9 ft tidal swing. Relative shoal area in the middle, as shown on charts. Winds were gusting to 15 kts , we arced back and forth with the current. Several crab trap floats were there, we snagged an abandoned trap with first drop of anchor. Anchor held well in firm sticky mud with about 140 ft of chain. I got multiple fly bites.
