Description:
To reach this anchorage, you must navigate around the west side of Big Hill Marsh by turning at green daybeacon 109 and following the deep-water channel around. Dewees Island is privately owned, so cruising boaters should not venture above the high-water line while walking the beach.

We anchored past the Dewees Island Ferry dock for 2 nights with about 75 feet of chain out. Great holding. The were so many dolphins and so many birds! There are nearby beaches you can dinghy to. Be careful when coming in at high tide as there are submerged sandbars farther into the anchorage.
