Wing Island - north

Lat / Lon: N 39° 24.912' / W 090° 37.075'
Description:
Move off channel towards RDB as if as if you are going to go down the channel behind the island. You will have 12' normal pool as you enter the channel, shoaling to 9' np in the center of the channel as you reach the upstream tip of the island. Channel is 300' wide with enough room to swing on single anchor for two or three 40' boats. Very good wind protection from the South around to the Northwest. Anchorage is far enough off the channel to not be an issue.

9/29/25 Stopped in desperation as dark beat us to Willow. We anchored just off the channel, by 50'. any further in was silted in. Another shallower draft boat tried, struck rocks damaging prop and rudder. not recommended outside of flood conditions.
