Lovely, secluded, quiet location. Staff is very helpful. Docks show their age, but solid, with good electric. Duncan is very helpful, and a great resource for anything in the vicinity. Facility is diamond in the rough with plans to improve/expand.
The shoaling at the entrance is not a problem if you follow staff's direction and take your time.

This is a nice marine for an overnight stay. The charming inn adjacent to the slips is no longer running, but there are condos and cabins for rent next to the inn. The condos have a pool and hot tub that are accessible to slip renters. The rest rooms and bath house are part of condos and a slight distance from the slips. Walking or biking are the main pastimes for the locals and the snowbirds that rent the cabins for the summer season. There is public access to the Lake Michigan side and a beautiful sandy beach. No fuel is available at this marina. The dock hands are friendly and were hard at work maintaining the grounds around the condo during slack times. The only knock I really have is that there is unmarked shoaling at the entrance to the main fairway upon which I grounded on my first approach. Once free, using thrusters, I radioed the dockhand and he instructed me to stay to port when entering the fairway. That would have been nice to know prior to my first approach when I first hailed the marina. I was able to leave the marina without an issue.
