New docks, in a small but great harbor. Easy walk into town for shops, food and drink. We stopped specifically to see friends, but the town is worth a visit on it's own. Lake Charlevoix is a great place to be stuck when Lake Michigan is angry! :)

Adorable town and marina! Staff was at the ready to catch our lines upon arrival and provided a map and information about the town. Clean bathrooms, courtesy bikes available for use but not needed to get to the area restaurants or grocery store and laundromat. We especially enjoyed our Friday evening of "Stroll the Streets" and the Farmer's Market Saturday morning. The flowers around town maintained by the Garden Club are exceptional and certainly adds to the charm.

No room at the marina in Charlevoix, so we decided to explore Lake Charlevoix and found a place to dock at Boyne city. Laurie at the office is a looper who finished in 2015 and relocated to Boyne city. She is an unflagging advocate of this small city and made us feel very welcome. Our charts did not show the large T dock where she put our 60 foot power boat. She knows her prevailing breezes and put us on the correct side of the dock for a night of sound sleep. The marina facilities are typical municipal cinderblock, older, but clean and well-maintained. The price was right. And Boyne city was a pleasant stop with hiking and provisioning opportunities Since it's still a bit sporty out on Lake Michigan visiting Boyne city also gave us the option of stopping in round Lake for a tour of Charlevoix. An enjoyable diversion all around. Would recommend and repeat.

Very friendly folks. We stopped there in a friends boat that was too big for the Boyne City shopping dock. The marina let us stay in one of their slips for 2 hours, no charge, and two of the staff helped us dock and launch.

Highly recommend this place. It is well situated to walk to many shops, restaurants & bars.
