Friendly folks, and a great island to explore. Not as commercialized at Mackinac. Fixed docks, so prepare lines and fenders accordingly. Harbor loans pedal bikes!

Great spot right downtown. The marina is very well cared for. The docks are wide and in good shape. The docks are also well lit at night with motion detecting lights. The power issues others mentioned are fixed !! We had no issues whatsoever. Joe the dockmaster was very nice and helpful. They have 1 washer and dryer, a little pricy though at 2$ a wash and 2$ a dry. The bathrooms were very clean, we didn't use the showers. We went to the Shamrock bar which is legendary in these parts, and had a very nice lunch. The whitefish Ruben was excellent. We also went to the Beaver Island Lodge, which is more fine dining and very good. McDonough's market is good for provisioning. They have pretty much anything that you will need for the most part. They also have a good meat counter. All in all we had a very nice stay and will definitely be back.

The docks and location are a 5. There are power issues and they are aware of them but it has not been fixed yet. We just used our inverter, since we didn't need air conditioning. If the power trips on one boat it knocks out about 6 slips and can only be reset by the dock people who leave at 4 pm.

Marina has a 5 star view in a great location. The marina has power issues. The first night was fine. We had to change slips for the second night and the power was not sufficient. 7 boats ended up having power problems. The marina had us turn off all systems and energize one at a time while they watched to see if they could support the current draw. We stopped when drawing just 12 amps on a 50 amp circuit. No help from the personnel working there when docking. Nice little town with pricy restaurants. A great grocery store a half mile away. Dated but clean bathrooms. Lots of places to walk a dog. We will visit Beaver Island again but will anchor out.

Weather forced us to leave a day earlier than planned, but loved this stop. Transient space is limited because the larger marina to the north is being reconstructed. The staff is the friendliest we've found anywhere, and the showers/restrooms very clean, as is the rest of the property. It's steps to the village main street for restaurants and a surprisingly good grocery. Stay a couple of days to explore the island by bike.
