  • Reviews Summary

The reviews for Burdines Waterfront Marina highlight a mix of experiences, primarily focusing on the friendly staff, good food, and the overall atmosphere. Many reviewers appreciate the efficient service and the marina's location, which offers great views and a convenient on-site restaurant known for its burgers and fries. The marina is described as a low-key spot, ideal for a casual dining experience.

However, there are some concerns regarding the docking conditions, with one reviewer mentioning hazardous docking due to crumbling concrete piers and poor cleats. Another reviewer faced challenges with their boat's draft, leading to a grounding incident, but praised the helpfulness of the local live-aboard community who assisted them.

Overall, while the marina may not be the most luxurious option, it is well-regarded for its friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices, and the support of the local community, making it a recommended choice for boaters.

Food ok.. Busy but efficient. Would like to give more stars but docking there is hazardous. Doable but not easy. Crumbling concrete piers, poor cleats required extensive fender placement. I'm referring to the long wall on the east side. Other docks on the other side must be better.

I could not get my boat in here. In fairness to the locals I spoke to, I told them I had a 7' draft, which is what I thought. Turns out it's actually 7' 8". As far as I am concerned, that's an eight foot draft. Yeah, we got stuck. But the local live-aboard community is great! They came out in a tender armada, pulled my oversized butt loose from the sandbar and escorted me to the anchorage. Then one of them volunteered to dinghy me back and forth to fuel up. THREE loads of jerrycans and he never stopped smiling. Which brings me to Burdines: very friendly staff. Reasonably priced diesel. Clean facility. Cold water and ice at good prices. The only downsides: there's not much water there, and what there is is spread MIGHTY THIN. Five stars, but only four of 'em are for the marina. The last one was earned by the wonderful locals who live on the moorings!

We were very happy to get reservations at Burdines Waterfront Marina since every other marina we contacted was booked solid. The marina personnel are very friendly and the restaurant serves yummy burgers (even gluten free!) and fries. The facilities (bathrooms, showers and laundry) are in little huts nearby. This marina is not as fancy as others (e.g. Faro Blanco) but it served our purposes. We would stay there again.

Nice marina, low key... very nice water-side restaurant on-site, easy for a quick “dock n’ dine”. Arguably, best waterside restaurant in boot key harbor.
