- Description:
Due to a generator failure, the Spuyten Duyvil Bridge, mile 7.9 across the Harlem River, will be unable to open for marine traffic from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. daily. This restriction will remain in place until temporary repairs are completed.
The Spuyten Duyvil Bridge is a swing bridge that provides a vertical clearance of 5 feet at mean high water in the closed position. Vessels able to pass beneath the bridge while closed are free to do so. Mariners are advised to plan accordingly and may contact the bridge tender on VHF channel 13 or at 212-304-4902 for status updates.
