- Description: Choctawhatchee Bay, East Pass -- Hazard to navigation remains in effect at the Us-98 William T. Marler (Destin) Bridge. Due to a vessel allision reported on August 15, 2025, the bridge fendering and protection system has sustained significant damage and remains unrepaired until further notice. Damage includes multiple broken piles just below the water surface adjacent to the pier wall. A temporary warning buoy has been installed to mark the hazard. Mariners are urged to transit with extreme caution in the vicinity of the bridge center span.
