The DuPont (SR30/US HWY 98) Bridge crossing the GIWW at Mile 295.5, EHL, will undergo construction and demolition. Work will begin September 10, 2025 and include the construction of two new parallel bridges, the installation of work trestles, temporary and permanent driven piles, barge mooring piles, sheet pile wave breaks, waterline footers, and bridge sub and super structures. The existing bridge will be demolished and will include the removal of temporary shoring and concrete cutting. Operations will be conducted from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., six days a week. On-scene vessels will include the T/Vs MISS VERA ELLEN II, KEITH JACOBSON and MISS AMORY, three 24 ft skiffs, a crew boat, the Ringer Barges CB110 7000, CB120 4100 and SBC 4100, four crane barges, two sectional crane barges, six material barges, and four deck barges (MCC 904, 903, 453 and 479). Vessels are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with extreme caution after passing arrangements have been made. VHF-FM Channel: 16, POC: (334) 740-0569
