The marina is in excellent condition with mostly fixed docks, one floating. Very friendly helpful staff, good help with docking. Shallow entrance, take care at low tide. Washrooms are clean but shared with the restaurant and have constant queues. Showers are smaller than those on the boat. There is a working portable pump out in slip except if you are on the floating dock you will have to pump out at the fuel dock. Popular restaurant on site. Warm blueberry muffins were brought to our boat most mornings. Golf cart rental on site, you need a golf cart or bicycles to get around.

The Sanibel Island Marina is a lovely small marina that is well on its way to being rebuilt after the two recent hurricanes. The marina is well protected from wind and current, but hug the west wall at the entrance to avoid the shoaling that builds on port side of the inlet. The staff is very friendly, and Tommy the dockmaster was a delight (as him about the history of the marina and Sanibel Island). The grounds are well-maintained and very clean. There are open seating areas where you can watch dolphins in the channel. The marina has new fixed docks, no repair facilities, sells gasoline and diesel, and has no pump-out capabilities. The three restrooms are shared with the restaurant, and only two of them have small showers. The laundry facility has not been rebuilt from the hurricane, and there is no laundromat in the area. The marina provides fresh muffins in the morning (delivered to your boat by Tommy), and the onsite restaurant, Grandma Dot's, serves good food, and is a favorite of the local community. There is a small deli and convenience store with package liquor about a mile or so away, and a few of the local restaurants are slowly reopening. While the marina is very comfortable, there is not much to see or do on the island. At $4.50 per foot, and $20 per night for 50-amp electricity the marina is a bit pricy for the quality of the available amenities.

Stayed for one night on 5/31/24. I think Gramma Dots has the best food. Dockmaster really helpful. Dolphin show at the entrance of canal. The canal will be dredged in the next couple of weeks. No diesel, but that's OK. Nice location.
