I found Wilmington Marine Center to be a great spot. All the folks there were very friendly and helpful. The Manager Mike went out of his way to be accommodating and Janie who is the person you speak to on the phone couldn't be nicer. I had my 47' sailboat there November to the end of April and had a bunch of work done as well. Extremely well protected and snug as could be. Great rates across the board. Very quiet and nice landscaping that is tended to by a friendly lady who lives aboard her boat there. There is more depth to the channel that leads off the river as long as you stay in the middle. It is well marked. If you will be in the area I would certainly recommend WMC as a good place to stop.
