Nice docks and facilities in a good location. Staff do not routinely monitor VHF, so call.

The entrance channel is shallow in times of a lower pool level. We ran aground in soft mud initially and thereafter proceeded very carefully close to the south edge of the channel and did not touch again.

Staff friendly and helpful. Marina in parkland with a restaurant very close by.

Thought we would give an update on recent reviews. Stayed here Sept 3-5, 2025 because low river levels precluded entrance to the marinas. Docks completely empty with ducks and gulls taking up residence, so there is a lot of bird dirt.

We stayed on the south docks. There were cleats on the dock to tie to, the dock was in decent physical shape apart from cleanliness and we had 7.7' at the dock right along the wall. There were pedestals with 30A plugs available - we did not try them and just relied on generator & our batteries. The couple of trash cans on the dock do not seem to be cleared regularly.

Good location with restaurants and museums nearby. We were advised to be cautious about security, and we were, but did not experience any issue.

Overall, this is a realistic option for transients when the river stage is low.
