Anchorage Review for Eatons Neck Basin
Reviewed by: KapnKarl, Hey Jude, on Jan 12, 2018
Vessel Type: Power
LOA: 42'
Draft: 5.0'Overall Rating:4Holding:4Wind Protection:4Current Flow:4Wake Protection:4Scenic Beauty:3Cell Service:4Arrived at dusk on 10/6/17 headed to NYC. Very well marked USCG station channel, but be sure to respect all buoys on the way in... it's snug. Room for a few single-file boats inside to the west of the channel. Anchored outside the channel just to the WSW of green #7 in 6 feet on short scope. Woke early to glass-like water in medium-heavy fog. Crawled out slowly, set the foghorn and headed west toward Hell Gate with eyes on radar & AIS. Wouldn't hesitate to stop here overnight again.
