Lock comment on Olmsted Locks and Dam

We went thru Olmstead the morning of 9/1/25. Lockmaster said we could float it as there were no other boats in the lock with us. Initially water was added from the east/front but then water was added from port side. This created significant turbulence and pushed us toward the starboard wall. We had not put out fenders to float but we got them out in time to avoid damage. Word to the wise: put your fenders out on starboard for this lock even if you are floating it.
