- Description:
George P Coleman Memorial Bridge, across York River, mile 7.0, at York, VA will be maintained in the closed-to-navigation position. To facilitate operation of the above bridge experiencing mechanical deficiencies, the bridge will be maintained in the closed-to-navigation position from October 27, 2025, through December 27, 2025. During the closure, the bridge will open on signal is at least 2 hours' notice is given. Vessels able to pass through the bridge in the closed position may do so at any time.
The drawbridge will not be able to open for emergencies. At all other times, the drawbridge will operate in accordance with the operating regulations set out in Title 33 Code of Federal Regulations Part 117.1025. Mariners should adjust their transit accordingly and use caution when transiting the area.
