The Kingston LaSalle Causeway Bridge was damaged during repair work in spring 2024 and had to be demolished. A temporary modular bridge (designed to be removed and reinstalled periodically to allow marine traffic to travel through the main navigation channel) will remain in place until the permanent replacement bridge is constructed. No completion date has been provided. The bridge is open to marine traffic on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The exact hours vary as the entire bridge has to be removed and reinstalled for openings and is weather dependent. Boats requiring less than 16-foot fixed vertical clearance may proceed under the span.
