Waterway Guide's Preferred Destination, Lancaster County, VA, just made its shores even more welcoming for boaters with the grand opening of Westland Beach at Windmill Point. This newly completed public waterfront park is part of the Windmill Point County Maritime Recreational Campus, offering enhanced access for boaters and visitors at the mouth of the Rappahannock River where it meets the Chesapeake Bay.

The project brings major upgrades, including:

  • A brand-new 450-foot fishing and observation pier
  • An expansive public beach with restored dunes
  • Dredging of the channel to Windmill Point Marina and public boat ramp
  • ADA-compliant amenities
  • Reestablished navigation markers for safer approach

For those cruising the Bay or exploring the Northern Neck, dock at Windmill Point Marina and enjoy direct access to the beach, pier, and recreational amenities at this beautifully restored public waterfront.
