Tie up at the high terminal wall west of bridge E-23 on the north bank. This is a gated Canal Corp maintenance facility and the gate closes at 3:30PM. Two options when you depart the dock area. First, turn north for Dairy bar (0.2 mile) and restaurant. Continue north to Route 5 (0.4 mile) and turn left (west). At 0.7 miles, you will come to a Subway, Chinese Restaurant, Pizzeria, and Stewarts Convenience Store. At 0.8 mile is a Dollar General Store. Finally, there is a Laundromat at 0.9 mile. Your second option, cross the bridge to south bank of canal and walk east to McDonalds and restaurants with in ½ mile. Very urban. Note: If you get locked in cross under the bridge and walk up the berm to the road.
